LONG COVID: More than one-third of covid-19 patients had at least one symptom three to six months later, study finds

Nearly 4 in 10 people who became infected with covid-19 still had at least one symptom three to six months later, a new study of covid “long-haulers” found.

The most common lingering symptoms among more than 270,000 people surveyed in the United States were anxiety and depression, trouble breathing, abdominal symptoms, fatigue and pain.

About 15 percent had anxiety and depression, 8 percent had abnormal breathing, 8 percent had abdominal issues and 37 percent had at least one symptom, according to researchers from the University of Oxford, the National Institute for Health Research and the Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre.
